I went to the unemployment office. Turns out I was wrong. The system isn’t fucking me over. They’re _royally_ fucking me over. Maybe I should get back to work on my music. Who knows, I might make a few bucks off my music arrangements. ---

Having a good day - my supervisor is at the car dealer’s right now doping the paperwork and this evening I will finally be getting into my new(ish) company car. I have been in a rental since my last company car was destroyed around Thanksgiving. The company doesn’t want to spend more than a certain figure for their cars, but we really need bigger cars (with 4WD) so we have been permitted to buy ‘gently used’, which means I am going to see a 2013ish Ford Explorer XLT in a few hours. So really I don’t have much to complain about. I had to take yesterday off to go assist my parents with moving my uncle into assisted living. The past few months have been hard on them dealing with my uncle’s issues. He’s a nice guy, and well off enough that he can afford any care without complaint, but just the volume of work required by my parents (in their 80’s) has been taxing. I called a few minutes ago and the last move to the new facility is done. I tried to talk Mom into cracking open a beer, but I think she’s gonna down a glass of wine instead. Well deserved. I will head down there again tomorrow night to attend a Saturday memorial for a friend of the family who passed a few months ago. Busy busy busy. ---

I am gobsmacked. At the gastro quack’s office for a routine appointment, when one of the nurses said he was called away for an emergency. OK… I txted VWife about it, and to my surprise, ‘horsepistol’ showed up on my phone as a spelling suggestion. Doubly so, because so did ‘gobsmacked’. ---

Whew! Long day with not much accomplished, at least on my part. My sis bought us lunch, and I helped \*\*FCD \*\*fix the rear signal lights on her scooter. That took way longer than it should have, but it’s done, so she can signal safely. We got home just before 6, having gotten caught in the start of rush hour. ugh. My sweetie is taking a long weekend. The stuff I was going to do today will be switched to tomorrow. And with luck, we’ll sleep in tomorrow. We shall see. Meanwhile, I see I’ve got a bunch of stuff to review on FB, so off I go!
