Yeah, I already mentioned how the genesis of “Streets Of Minneapolis” reminded me of “Ohio”.
Musically (as in melody, chords, and rhythm), it’s a lot like this Pogues song. (like a lot of songs, really – e.g., Dylan’s “My Back Pages” – but this one’s even closer, I think).
I tried to think of what song “Streets of Minneapolis” reminded me of, musically. Now I have it: “Desolation Row” by Bob Dylan. It works so well.
