The Earth is still spinning on its axis. There was a decided lack of lighting bolts smiting anyone. The children are just fine, thank you. Everyone else’s marriage is just the same as before. Yep, it’s amazing. Neighbor’s kids got on the bus way too damned early, just like any weekday. My marriage isn’t cowering in a corner, fearing for its life. So far no bolts out of the blue that I’ve seen or heard. It’s cold as snot thought, maybe this is the beginning of hell freezing over? 😃 😛 ---

See, everybody said if South Carolina allowed gay marriage we’d wake up in hell. But I woke up this morning and couldn’t tell if I was in hell or just still in South Carolina. I know you shouldn’t read the comments on news articles, like, ever, but here’s a real gem: “Well, the way this has played out in the media, I would have thought THOUSANDS of gay men and women would be beating down the doors to get married…and we get a whopping TWO couples…once again proving that the wishes, opinions, and votes of the overwhelming majority don’t count for squat.” It isn’t a gem because of the content, but because of the profile picture of the commenter - it’s him, a white guy, with his black wife. People ask him about it in the comments to the comment and he confirms that that’s him and his wife. He doesn’t seem to get the irony. ---
