If anybody shoots at Gavin Newsom, all he has to do is block the bullets with his hair, which is so stiff that it is impenetrable to small-arms fire, lasers, heat vision, dirty bombs, 1920s-style death rays and The Force. ---

I absolutely guarantee you there was something in his morning news briefing. And if someone screwed up and it wasn’t there then Karl Rove told him during his political briefing. I 100% guarantee it. He doesn’t have to read the newspapers. He has people to do that for him. All Presidents do. ---

Let’s get one of them out of the way, at least. I’m conservative. I support civil unions, but oppose same-sex marriages. I condemn in the strongest possible terms any use of violence in this nationwide debate. For that matter, I oppose any use of inflammatory or insulting rhetoric or language in debating this important social issue. If you want me to tie a Bible verse to this, I can.
