St. John's College

There is just the one, in dear old Oxford. (Tabs keep out!) Best known, right now, as being the alma mater of one Tony Blair.

Hope your St. John’s is better than the one we have here at Cambridge. Trinity keeps trying to wrap it in tinfoil and set it on fire.

OK, commasense!

When I do tell my story, it will be accompanied by the disclaimer that people who attended earlier or later, or weren’t on the SF campus, as I was, might not have experienced things as I did. And there’s also the simple fact that you are you and I am me.

Cite? As a former philosophy student, I think it’s debatable.

Well, since commasense started it…

I am the Walrus!
Nope, I didn’t go to St. John’s. Sorry.

The Johnnie Mantra:

We need to define both “simple” and “fact” before we go any further.

But since you’re quoting me, when I said “You are you and I am me”, how are you defining “you”?

Well, Descartes said, . . .

But then Hume said, . . .

And Kant embellished that, suggesting, . . .

But, Nietzsche said that, even if that’s true, we must realize . . .

And that’s pretty much when I threw up my hands and admitted that finding Truth wasn’t gonna happen!
