My all time favorite Star Trek movie. Yes it was pet project of Nimoy’s. They had to get him back, somehow to participate. The 1986 time frame they’re in always cracks me up. I quote things from that movie all the time. I love when Bones says to Scotty at the Transparent Aluminum factory “Don’t get buried in the part” Which, of course they all were pretty much buried in their Star Trek characters. ---

I always thought the probe was some sort of advanced form of the Whale. Not a space ship full of whale lovers. Who knows? Who checked them out? They might’ve just wanted a BIG fish dinner ---

I loved that joke too, but I think it’s less amusing to modern audiences than it was at the time, since computers can now respond to voice input, while in 1986 that was science fiction. ---

Hmmm. I hadn’t seen that SNW ep, but the synopsis seems to put to bed that “LIttle blonde technician” Gary set Kirk up with being Carol Marcus. The timeline doesnt add up. That 'love interest article" misses SEVERAL. The woman in Shore Leave. Even if she is an android simulation of a past love. The slave girl he sleeps with in Bread and Circuses. The woman he sleeps with in Wink of an Eye. The girl in The Mark of Gideon I think also may have ‘had sparks’ at least.
