Ok I’m a Star Trek fan I admit, I have one question about the latest movie though, WHY DID THEY KILL DATA??? Is Brent Spiner looking to get out? Any help would be nice. Thanks!!! P.S. didn’t like seeing my dad cry when they blew Data to dust. ---

I kind of think I know but could someone please tell me exactly what a spoiler is? Also they may have killed off Data but I think they also left themelves with an opening to bring him back if they want to. After all, they have the prototype android called “Before” and Data did do some downloading from himself to the other android. Perhaps they just need to find where exactly the download went to. I’m sure they can legitimatlely bring him back, if they decide to make more movies and want him back. But then, they split up the team in other ways too, so maybe they don’t intend to make more movies, who knows? ---

to post a spoiler: use the 's in front of point you are about to make (PYAATM) type in _spoiler_ in between the [and the]. at the end of PYJM (point you just made), type in / then the word _spoiler_, no spaces between / and _spoiler_, all in between [and] no spaces or make it REAL big in the thread title sabe? ---

Giving away a plot twist or ending to a movie/book/videogame to someone who hasn’t watched/read/played. Telling someone who videotaped The Big Game to watch later because they were at work what the final score was. That sort of thing. The obligatory SDMB Simpsons reference would be Homer walking out of Empire Strikes Back past the line of people waiting to see the next showing, and saying, “Darth Vader was Luke’s father?! Who would have seen that coming?” ---

I was busy previewing the rushes of _Star Trek XI - The Wrath of Shatner_. (It’s pretty bad) For the OP: I think Spiner will be in another _Star Trek_ movie. Unless _Enterprise_ utterly fails as a series. Then, the franchise may just die. All versions of it. JMHO 😃 ---

JMHO 😃 \*\* * * * NOOOOOOOOOO! DS9 and Voyager never had great ratings (for that matter, did TNG?), and some of the VOY stories weren’t that great, but they kept them on for years anyway. ENT is only in the middle of its second season, anyhow. \*\*Star Trek XII: B4 and the Secrets of the Tellarites \*\*, looks to be pretty decent. 😉 ---
