Star Trek -- the "I saw it" thread **SPOILERS**

Sadly, no.

You meant thankfully, right? Reset buttons are obnoxious.

Especially if you carry them in your back pocket.

Unless they have the same anti-gluteal mechanism that allows Riker to sit on Enterprise consoles with no adverse effect.

I never paid any attention to Riker’s ass.

You were obviously never a Nitpicker or read any of the books. NCB is no doubt spinning in his grave.

Or will be when he dies, anyway.

Who? Sulu, ready for anything, the Dark Knight of Starfleet.

“Valiant” is the episode you’re thinking of: Valiant (episode) | Memory Alpha | Fandom

And for fans of Karl Urban, here he is as Eomer in LOTR: The Two Towers: http://sagralisse.mediawood.net/urban/eomer/eomer_rotk_sped_001.jpg
As a Russian assassin in The Bourne Supremacy: http://www.aceshowbiz.com/images/still/bourne_supremacy20.jpg
And as McCoy: Welcome filmedge.net - BlueHost.com

Very different roles, and he’s great in each!

BTW, where did Tyler Perry appear? Was he the Federation honcho who gave Kirk his medal at the end?

Are you talking about this clip where Riker destroys the Enterprise by sitting down?

I can’t view youtube at work.

I was just riffing on a rant from The Nitpicker’s Guide to The Next Generation, where the author complains loudly and often about how Riker will perch on adjacent consoles while talking to someone doing something plotty.

I didn’t think so. It just doesn’t fit with TOS and so on, so I was in denial.

Oh, c’mon. Leave out the best?

Well, most snicker-worthy, anyway. The one where lots of us said “Wait, that guy is going to be McCoy?!?”

Well, I was a little skeptical about Karl Urban, but goldang it Jim, he pulled it off.

Never saw him in that. What is that, Xena?

Okay. You just singlehandedly destroyed my burgeoning crush on Karl Urban.

A necromancer was spotted there.

My wife loved the movie, which is a sure sign that it will make a metric crapload of money and spawn innumerable sequels - my wife is no Trekkie, and if she loved it, lots of people not already fans probably will also.

Captain Ramius was trying to defect.

I didn’t see her as playing an old woman. I saw her playing a woman in her early to mid forties, which is pretty close to her actual age (though she doesn’t look it).

A underground movement was afoot to reunite Gondwanaland.
