To further clarify… Droning heads as in the Picard fans are talking and talking about peace and harmony like Picard, droning on and on, while the styrofoam crashes around their ears from the Kirk-o-philes practicing the punch first diplomacy of the only True Captain.

A couple considerations.

Both stormtroopers and Redshirts suck at anything, so sending them againest each other would be an exercise in hilarity.

If Fleets are allowed, SW by far. Mostly because the Starfleet doesn’t seem to know how to actually fight battles. How many times has the Enterprise been Hijacked?

And The Empire has far more ships then Starfleet does. And they’re bigger too.
Oh, wait. Wrong subject.

Sorry, but BOTH sides would lose. They’d fall down and skin their knees trying to take a swing at the other side.

I know a guy who teaches European sword fighting, and is also fond of Klingons. He’s pretty big too. Me, I’m not so big or skilled as him, but I’d still be of some use in a fight.

On the other hand, Star Wars video games are on average far superior to Star Trek games, and that is what really counts, yes?

I’ve seen more hot chicks in golden bikinis among Star Wars fans then I have among Star Trek fans. This leads me to believe that Star Wars fans must be the superior race. After watching Trekkies 2 this might not apply to European Trekkies. 'Cause man they were hot. Especially the chicks from the eastern European nations.

It occurs to me that there were two \*Star Wars \* fans who lit themselves on fire trying to make a flaming lightsaber.

On the one hand, it means SW fans will die by natural selection.

On the other hand, if we could just get them to hold off on lighting things up until the war, then we could all go down in a fiery mess. Except for the Batman fans (if they were prepared) because their suits are flame-resistant.

Another “Whovian” here. And I have to ask, what about the civil war reenactors? Oh, and as a battle of pure physical strength, I have to point out the fact that British schools have much harsher sports programs than in America. As a matter of weapons, I have to point out who useful a scarf is as a noose. As a matter of the population of fans, I need to point out the new series is on the air, and is rapidly swelling the ranks of the fandom, unlike the new SW film, or the last ST series…

The Trekkies are older and although Trek has diminished in quality with the last few movies, it did not fall from grace nearly as far as Star Wars.

Not fair, a good chunk of Civvies would bring real weapons and they are crazier than the average Trekkie or worshiper of the golden bikini.

So, let’s view. Real guns, without anyway of loading them, vs. phasers equals both sides using clubs. Sounds fair to me. 😛

I’d imagine a Civil War era rifle would be a good bit heavier than a plastic phaser/blaster, thus, better club. Plus they have those bayonettes. And even a projectile-less cannon can have an effect when the damn thing goes off within a 100 yards of you (yay Aggie football games).

As for plastic phasers vs. plastic light sabers, it’s worth noting that Trekkies of the Captain Kirk school of Trekking will be proficient in the Judo Chop.
