She didn’t need to be starstruck. Have you seen what Harrison Ford looked like back then? He could have bedded practically any 19-year old girl even if he’d been a dishwasher. And BTW, since this is the Dope, it’s Procrustes not Procrustus. ---

In what universe is a 19-year-old not free to choose with whom he or she will have sex? So long as it’s consensual, who gives a furry little rat’s ass? FWIW, my daughter’s mother was 21 when we met, and I was 39. We ended up in the sack on our first date, and I’d happily do the same thing today, 22 years later. If this bothers anybody, that’s just TFB. It’s none of their goddamned business. ---

Rather worse was director George Roy Hill seducing actress Tippy Walker ( who he had hand-selected ) during the making of _The World of Henry Orient_. Good director, good film - but he was 44 and married and she was all of 16. Despite apparently a lot of rumors about it flying around at the time ( which Walker claims ultimately hurt her short career ), he came out unscathed. ---

I find it baffling that anyone would be unsure why any given straight male would want to sleep with Carrie Fisher. I find it similarly baffling that anyone would be unsure why any given straight female would want to sleep with Harrison Ford. The reasons for both, I would think, are quite obvious. And when you put two people who want to sleep with each other in close proximity, the results are predictable. The only thing even remotely scandalous here is that Ford was married at the time. But by Hollywood standards of scandals, that hardly even rates notice. ---
