The way I see it, TFA is a remake of the original SW, with slight changes…the Luke Skywalker character is now the woman, we have another Darth Vader, the new improved version of the Death Star is the Death Planet. The only thing that wasn’t recycled was the young Leia Organa-why didn’t they include that? ---

Just got back from seeing the movie during a Friday matinee. What a stinking piece of Flying Shit. It appears Han Solo and Carrie Fisher fucked, had a son, who _of course_ turns to the Dark Side. Really? How about college first ya little prick? And when did Imperial Storm Troopers develop a conscience? Oh right, episode 7, AND he’s a Negro! (John Boyega wasn’t bad, it just that his lines were). Touche Walt Disney! - Welcome to the Real Dark Side. Let’s not forget to have a bar scene just like in the original Star Wars, including a Jabba the Hut like character and a knock off of Princess Leia in leaner times. Too bad the scene itself had no characters who were developed. Hell, that scene could have taken place in an ice box in an igloo on Tatooine. Here we go again. Son kills Father. I got 20 buck-a-roos that sez Hans Solo gets resurrected and yet another planet will get vaporized in Episode 8 for some Nixonian reason. The Star Wars franchise is bankrupt. And yeah, Fuck You Luke. ---

This film was just a 2-hour ride to say “Star Wars is back and better than ever. Here’s where your old favorite characters ended up, and here are some new ones.” History will not judge this as the best or most innovative Star Wars film, but rather a necessary and quite well-done bridge from the past to the future. Reserving Luke Skywalker to a no-lines final scene was a stroke of brilliance. I’m glad to see the franchise is in good hands and I can’t wait to see the next installment. ---

What if _all_ other stormtroopers are in fact black? It would give a whole new meaning to the Dark Side. ---

Saw it for a second time at the IMAX theater at the air and space museum. Not as fun as seeing it on opening day with my friend and her friend’s 10 year old, but it’s still a fun kid’s movie. Really digging the new characters and laughing at the haters. ---

The original Clone Troopers were all derived from Jango Fett, who wasn’t exactly lily-white. Maybe the Empire and later the First Order just continued that tradition. ---
