# Starbucks drive through

Wondering why when they hand you your hot coffee at the drive thru…they often fill it to the tip top. Too hot to drink through the opening…and if you take the top off to cool it a bit it spills all over the place. Don’t they realize you’re in a CAR?

Probably because if they _don’t_ fill it to the brim, some people will complain. So you might ask them to leave a little room at the top.

Also, I expect most people are not taking the lid off even to speed up cooling off.
