I dislike STEAM mostly because it’s really big, really slow, and you can’t take it anywhere. Its not that it’s evil or bad, particularly. It’s just annoying. I have no idea why PC game makers feel the need to annoy their customers. But it’s getting real tiresome.
I’ve been trying to get x3 to work on two systems. x3 is a badly programmed, unoptimised piece of code anyway but I’m becoming more and more convinced the starforce protection is what is screwing my systems so badly I’ve had to have technicians rebuild xp installs to deal with problems that mysteriously began when starforce infected my system.
There’s no shortage of great games to play without stupid copy protection or Steam so companies that use either can kiss my disposable income goodbye.
