Agreed, I’ve been suffering through SGU wondering when the comic relief was coming, in SG1 you had ONeil cracking wise and in SGA the interplay between McKay and the rest was always worth a chuckle or two. With SGU it’s like they picked up a bunch of bad drama writers that had never heard of the Stargate series, sat them in a room and said now write SciFi, and as a result we are doomed with “Dramatic Flashbacks” instead of decent story lines. ---

I wonder how many Stargate fans they’ve lost with this change, I’m on the verge, it’s still in my PVR list and I’ll give a a few episodes in the fall, but after a hard day in the salt mines I’m looking for lighter fare. I’m not against darker storylines, just don’t take yourselves so seriously. DS9 was darker but they still had a good mix of comedic situations. ---
