I was watching Starship Troopers since I don’t know when and was pleasantly surprised to recognize Dean Norris as a commanding officer. I only know him from Breaking Bad! ---

Without checking IMDB, I also remember seeing him in Lethal Weapon 2, Total Recall and Little Miss Sunshine. Lots of good actors turn up in many shows and movies before (and more commonly ‘if’) they become well known. Same for Jonathan Banks - I was amused to find he was in “Airplane!”, which means I saw him onscreen when I was ten years old, decades before Breaking Bad. In Breaking Bad we got to see two true professionals bringing a lifetime of experience to wonderful roles, which is a big part of why they were so memorable. Same for a lot of people on that show. ---

It’s the season-one episode where our heroes get stuck on the planet where the two armies are perpetually resurrected so they fight each other forever. It took me a minute to figure out how I knew him. The leader of one of the clans is, indeed, Jonathan Banks. Same here. Since I’m a decade younger than the poster who recognized Banks from Airplane!, I just assumed anyone my age or older would know him from Wiseguy. ---

_Wiseguy_ was the first “grown-up” show I ever watched on a regular basis. My dad and I would watch it together every week. It was a really big deal for me. ---
