Actually, I was trying the honey approach there. What the logs show is something likely beyond the ability of the mods to change, as that is a server issue. More diplomatic to suggest this was a technical problem than imply, say, the mods were incompetent in reading the logs. ---

I don’t know exactly what investigative tools (technological or otherwise) were used either in the initial decision, or in this new one. And probably, the mods would prefer to keep it that way. The fewer people who know how such investigations are made, the harder it is to try to game the investigations. We don’t want the wrongdoers to be able to say, “Aha, so if I just push this button and reconfigure through the main deflector dish, they won’t be able to detect me!”. The Powers that Be have admitted that they made a mistake, and have corrected it. That should be enough information for the rest of us. ---
