# Starting A Party In Canada.

How can I go about starting my own political party inside Canada. What obstacles will I need to overcome? I’ve been looking at the other parties (namely the CPC) but they all seem to not offer what I want, perhaps I would be able to form my own?

Your major obstacle will be voter apathy and ignorance.

You must have a vision, and be able to communicate it effectively. You will need grass roots support, a workable fund raising system and a sympathetic press.

You will be regarded not as a political party, but as rabble rousers until at least a couple of your members are elected.

If you do become a force to be reckoned with, be prepared to be stabbed in the back by your staunchest allies.

In short, I don’t recommend it. Start a chicken farm instead.
