Handing the verdict to Deputy now. Not Guilty. on the first charge. Or is that Not Guilty on both? Apparently it’s both. I was expecting two verdicts on the two charges. That’s a relief. ---

Deal with it.** _)[/li][li]Jeantel’s testimony (maybe including “get off”), [/li][li]the practical impossibility of some of his claims which then have to lead to something different having occurred (i.e., seeing/pulling his gun at the last minute between Martin’s leg and his side…if that isn’t when the gun came out, then it MUST have come out sooner…)[/li][li]which would explain Martin’s screams…[/li][/ul] Etc. It’s easy as hell to find him guilty with the evidence, reasonable inferences from that evidence, and yes, the fact that he lies, and lies, and lies. And no, you don’t see it the same way. Sorry, Your Majesty, but your view is not actually the only one possible, or even the most likely. Again, I know that anyone would even suggest such a thing is a big shock. Again, deal with it. ---

The verdict was the correct one. He might be guilty, but it couldn’t be proven beyond a reasonable doubt with the evidence presented. The system worked as it is supposed to. ---

Yep. All the legal arguments are null and void now. The jury has spoken. It’s still a tragedy for both parties. The Martins lost a son. Zimmerman’s life has been changed forever. He’ll be in fear of his life for many years to come. I’m not sure he can ever overcome that fear and actually walk down the sidewalks normally again. Maybe, just maybe if he relocates somewhere. Maybe Arizona or New Mexico and blends in with the Hispanic community he’ll be left alone. But I’m not sure of that. ---

wonder how long it will take for someone to claim ‘malicious prosecution’. While I may not agree or like the outcome - I agree with Human Action, this is the expected one. ---

Shitty all around. Trayvon may have realized he was being followed by a man with a gun, and lashed out in what he thought was defense of his own life. I guess the jury determined that Zimmerman didn’t break the law. The laws should change- Zimmerman was at the very least partly responsible for Trayvon’s death. If you follow an unarmed person who is not breaking the law in any way with a gun, and an altercation breaks out in which you shoot him, it is not justice if you get away scot free. ---

He hasn’t broken any laws with regaurd to it - he has not been convicted in any court of a felony - he gets to keep it - no questions. ---

Being convicted of a felony isn’t the only disqualifying condition in Florida (see the link), but none of the others apply to Zimmerman either. So yes, the permit won’t be revoked. ---
