Biden definitely worked the crowd tonight. Had some nice call and response, got to the hecklers before they could start. People saying to him “you were on fire”, “fired us up”. ---

According to Dana Bash at CNN, Biden used the words “my predecessor” 13 times in total. Never mentioned him by name, but we all know whom he was referring to. ---

He had the lines about “ we don’t meet our ideals , but we keep pushing in that direction” which sort of acknowledged the problems present but I guess got to keep an positive spin at the end ---
