States rights reign supreme on social issues. What are the consequences for red states?

Just as people don’t worry about cheeseburgers until a law makes them illegal. Could you elaborate, or was that just a chance to poke Southerners?

Some of the states passing anti-abortion laws are rumbling about chasing down women who leave to get abortions and those who get abortion drugs from out-of-state. That’s not states’ rights.

From @Hari_Seldon 's point of view, we United Statesians are ALL Southerners.

I think these two sum up pretty much what we can expect for the next number of years, with the appropriate variations on the theme for assorted topics such as gay marriage etc.
