# Steakhouse Near Ft. Bliss

I am trying to recall the name of a steakhouse just outside the El Paso airport. Maybe some SDopers assigned to Ft. Bliss know what steakhouse I am thinking of. This is not a chain restaurant. It is a little pricey, but it is worth it. They had a really nice salad bar, too, but that was pre-COVID. I hope COVID did not ruin that.  
So, does anyone know the name of this place?

DO you mean near the airport or near the fort? Yes, those two are adjacent, but with their entrances on different sides and their surrounding commercial districts are a mile or more apart.

Here is a place that’s apparently rather new, and a mile down the main drag from the El Paso airport. But you left out important details like how many years or decades ago you were last there, so this may not be it at all:

It’s probably [Cattle Baron](https://www.cattlebaron.com/). It’s really close to the airport.

I’ve never understood the attraction of salad bars. If COVID killed off salad bars, then that’s one positive thing about COVID.

The attraction is getting the customers to fill up on $0.25 / lb. salad before attacking the $1.00 / lb. carb section or the $5.00 / lb. protein / meat section of the eatery.

Seems pretty obvious to me.
