Goodnight, sweet Vir. Vir is latin for ‘Man’, and Stephen Furst’s character was the everyman trapped in a much larger and more difficult situation than any of us would care to be in. At the end, he became Emperor of a people who had risen from their own decadence to reclaim their former glory and paid a very high price for their sins. ---

I remember him as Flounder and Vir on Babylon 5. It’s been a few years, but I recall he dropped the weight and was exercising. IIRC he was much fitter the last season of B5 and got quite thin afterward. I’m kind of surprised he died so young. He was very good at playing shy and socially awkward characters. Very good character actor. His best moment in B5 was fulfilling a early season vow. He wiggled his fingers at the dead bad guy, Morden. I think his head was on a pike? RIP ---
