Well, having been ever anti-bolshevik, but not an expert in anything, I always knew that rootless cosmopolitan meant Jewish. Not here though & and only in the USSR when Koba was feeling cranky about his many many Jewish colleagues from the old days ( he certainly went for them latterly during the Doctors’ Plot, but to be fair he also wiped out a lot of non-Jewish folk most of the time ). And foreign aid is obviously partially designed to keep the folks at home. And not here. ---

Ah, so this is the thread where all the Trump supporters have been hiding. I’ve been wondering what had happened to them lately. Finally found something Trump has done that they can try to defend. Miller also brought up another idea popular with the white nationalist crowd - that the poem on the Statue of Liberty is not original to it so the statue doesn’t reflect our values about immigrants. It’s not too hard to see that if he mentioned one white nationalist idea, their definition of “cosmopolitan bias” fits in with his narrative. ---

I voted _against_ Trump – but that doesn’t require a reflexive wag of my finger at each position he takes; ‘even a stopped clock’ and all that. Miller made a godawful point that ineptly used a white supremacist dog-whistle, and it takes some serious contortions to claim otherwise.
