Once, I read that the word “Stewardesses” was the longest word that could be typed entirely with the left hand on a typewriter/keyboard. What is the longest word that can be typed with the right hand? Eric ---

Tie between bibliophily and hypolimnion, depending on whether you type the “b” with your right hand or not. I don’t, but I’m not sure what hand you’re “supposed” to use. BTW, sweaterdresses is longer than stewardesses for the left hand. ---

I’ve never used my right hand for b, so hypolimnion it is. Typewriter is also supposed to be the longest one using the top row - I can’t remember the other two. Does anybody else know? ---

See Jeff Miller’s [Collection of Word Oddities and Trivia, Page 8](http://members.aol.com/gulfhigh2/words8.html) Left hand only (14 letters) : aftercataracts, tesseradecades, tetrastearates Right hand only (14 characters including hyphens): Johnny-jump-up Jeff lists words using a single row and a single finger too. ---

Does anybody else know? \*\* For the middle row, the longest word that I can come up with is **flasks**. Also, if we’re counting proper nouns, **Alaska**. There are no words with just the bottom row, of course. For those two rows combined, the longest one that comes to mind is **bandanas**. ---

i can type any word with my right hand…its not that hard really 😛
