It seems that the “healthy obese” have larger numbers of smaller fat cells, all things being equal. ---

I’m right there with you on thinking that **Stoid** isn’t as knowledgeable about diet and weight loss as she claims to be, but why do you keep bumping this every month or so? You just look like you’re obsessing over her. ---

As I mentioned to **Ashtar** , I’ve become very interested in the issue of fat cells. The conventional wisdom seems to be that if you become fat at some point in your life, your body creates a lot of new fat cells which develop their own agenda, so to speak, and make it difficult to subsequently lose weight and maintain weight loss. But evidence has been coming out that this idea is incorrect. That’s the main reason I have bumped this thread. Perhaps I will start a new thread on it. ---
