# Stonhenge STILL Has Secrets?

I saw and ad on TV last night (not sure if it was History, Discovery or NG) but they are doing a special on this Sunday evening. If I’m not to tired after this trip I plan to watch it…looked interesting.
The only ‘new’ thing I’ve read about so far is that they were burying people there for more than the 100 years they originally thought. Other than that I think they are finding out how some of the secondary sites around Stonehenge played a role in it’s use.
I’d say Stonehenge will always have some secrets.

they’ve been digging there since the 70s. They haven’t gone into the palace area yet–the river of mercury may be putting them off but it may be that they are stretching out the dig as long as they can because it’s a tourist destination. Or they might be taking their time because it’s a mighty big complex (a click and a third long and half a click wide). Or maybe because they aren’t a bunch of Indiana Joneses and want to do it right. Or all of the above, though mercury levels in the mound over the palace are not much higher than in the rest of the neighborhood (it is much cheaper to SAY you are running a river of mercury around the tomb of a beloved emperor than it is to actually do it).
