I’d be happy with a President Buttigieg, but this is not his time. If you want to beat Trump you need an old straight white guy. ---

Are the people that are fence-sitting right now between Trump and Biden (or at least _claim_ to be) in the “Biden just isn’t liberal enough-I would prefer someone like Buttigieg” camp, do you think? ---

I just came here to post the NY Times news as well. This does seem unduly hasty. Not that they’re wrong; they give the same arguments that are posted here many times: this election is too important to screw it up. (And that Biden will get their unequivocal endorsement if he stays in). ---

There is no one on the fence between Biden and Trump who is there because they feel Biden is not liberal enough. I think that should be obvious. ---

Jesus Haploid Christ! If Democrats would fucking grow a pair and buckle down, this wouldn’t even be a bump in the road. But the histrionics, panic and despair are all we can offer Joe and the Cause of Right. This debate didn’t swing the meters a bit. Which is bad, in that we need them to tick our direction a bit. But we outnumber the bastards and if we keep the Faith, we will prevail. Just CALM THE FUCK DOWN! Go spend the evening/weekend eroding the world’s white wine reserves, smoking a couple dozen joints, whatever it takes for you to GET A GRIP already. Then gird your loins for battle and give them Hell on Monday, and through until Election Day. You want to know why the Republicans have the rep for strong government? Biden’s support among African-Americans was already slipping. Passing over Kamala Harris to give the top spot to a white guy would be the sure way to lose the election. (It would also be wrong, but that’s just mho) ---
