Thanks for the translation, **Enginerd.** Now I can drink my splornk and actually get some work done. Side rant: it pisses me off that there seems to be a meth lab bust on the news every night (those darn impossible to find precursors!) yet when law-abiding citizen Tomato goes to CVS for some Mucinex D I about have to sign my life away. ---

This thread makes obvious the major flaw of the SDMB - the absence of a recreational drug use forum. We are a little short of threads about paedophile slang too. Perhaps another forum there too. _In My Drugged Up Opinion (IMDUO)_ would suit the OP and _Perverted Illegal Stuff I Must Share (PISIMS)_ would do for the latter. ---

I used Meth back in the late 80s a couple of times; we called it crystal, crystal Meth, or just Meth. It wasn’t really a thing in my group, we were more into pot, coke (it was the eighties), and acid. Then x came out and changed he whole scene and i straightened out and went to college. ---

Are the people in the meth section of Erowid who, when describing their positive meth experiences, refer to it as “meth” actually just agents for the DEA trying to trick me into doing meth so they can arrest me for meth use? ---

FWIW, this totally fucked kid I took pity on and gave a ride to back in 1999 or so did indeed call it meth. This may be a case of the language changing over time–at least among the fuckups with whom the OP is acquainted. ---

It’s a necessary step to dismantling America’s “Drug Culture”. Once the pharmaceutical companies stop flooding the inner cities with drugs, we’ll see fewer deaths and hospitalizations from ODs. Another good step is to ban high-capacity syringes. ---

The names for these drugs seem to change as fast as the various ingredients and flavors change etc when products arent fully finished or precursors change …“lemon drops” and “peanut butter” come to mind…boy Im glad THAT phase of my life is OVER!! …I currently hear about kids using their friends “addies” …as in prescription Adderral…its almost used as currency… Reap what you sow and all that… ---
