I was lectured by my daughter for referring to using marijuana as “smoking dope.” Apparently “dope” means meth now. Those in the know whom I know always called it “the shit,” “giddyup,” “Madonna’s underwear (get it? It’s a _boost_-ier)” etc. Back in the day, it was speed, crank, or crystal. ---

Been in the rooms of Narcotics Anonymous for 25 years. They have and still do call it meth.
