Well, not mine, but I was told a story about wood theft. There is a rural area with a cabin. The owner would split wood and leave a pile for the next time he was there. The pile would be gone when he came back. He bored a hole in a log, filled it with gunpowder, and carefully drove a wood plug into the end of the open hole. He then took a small trim cut on the end of the log with a chain saw so the plug could not be seen. He added that log to the pile for the thief to blow up their wood stove. Snopes would say unverifiable, I think. ---

Hope that guy is absolutely sure that whoever is taking his wood isn’t also going into his cabin and using **his** stove. ---
