On the ad with the bus, you can see a guy in the background who is actually _licking his lips_. Does anybody in real life do that?? That bugs the hell out of me for some reason. ---

I saw the one in the bank last night. I has a similar premise to that of the bus. After reading the other posts I am even more creeped out by this guy. Why does he know all the employees at different locations? Why does he travel around with them advertising subway? Why am I kicking this dead horse? ---

No, see- the one that gets me is when he walks in with the guy who asks him what’s good, and he replies: “Sam…” I’m thinking, whoa- homosexual prostitution? Talk about broadening their menu! ---

Slight redirect, but the latest Subway propaganda features an unsightly teen male who is set upon by his family, teachers, etc. but who finds comfort and understanding at his local Subway. Their willingness to listen, really _listen_ to his sandwich order appears to change his hormone-ravaged life significantly for the better. If possible, this premise is more annoying than those involving Mr. Former Fatty, Mr. Former Fatty Fireman, or Mr. Smugly Overfamiliar With the Menu. Let’s all agree on the following: –Subway does not make you skinny –Subway does not make you cool –Subway does not care about you as a person If we do not stop the menace now, future commercials will likely include: –Subway is the giver of life –Subway fights terrorism –Subway grants eternal youth –Subway has the Grand Unified Theory I, for one, refuse to encourage them. I, for one, refuse to Eat Fresh. ---

I like to learn things from commercials. Now I go into Subway and ask for a cheeseburger. When they tell me it’s not on thier menu I scoff and reply “It’s not even on your radar!!” Then I laugh heartily and invite everyone in the place to McDonalds. Man, I am so cool. ---

The message I get from that ad is that, no matter how low on life’s totem pole you might be, at least you aren’t as low as the girl that works as Subway. You may have to take orders from you parents and teachers, but the Subway girl is even worse off, because she has to take orders from _you_. That commercial just makes me feel sorry for that girl. Rise up, Subway girl! Rise up and throw off your chains! ---

Royal Farm Stores ( Local convience store but with much better food than, say, 7-11. Their fried chicken rocks ) around here have a billboard advertising campaign going that I really like. The billboard is a close-up shot of one of their amply stuffed subs with the caption “Nobody is losing weight off our subs”. ---
