I was browsing the Straight Dope earlier. I clicked a link within the forum (to either a section or a thread, NOT an ad), and got a page that imitated Windows, telling me about how many viruses it found and inviting me to fix. It also offered an executable file, Pack.exe, which I declined. What’s up with this? ---

I had the same thing happen this morning. A moderator can email me if they need the things evil IP address (I think I got it, I aint too savy regarding these things though). ---

I often get stuff like that happen to me if I middle-mouse-button click (to open in a new tab) rather than left clicking on a link. I always chalked it up to my adblocker acting wonky.
