# Straight Dope IRC?

So what do you guys think? You could embed [PJIRC](http://www.pjirc.com/main.php) on a web page on the site, point it to and irc chatroom and have a forum chatroom. [Albeit 10 years late](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=50)
It’d be easy to configure. I could set up a demo tomorrow.

I’m pretty sure it’s not going to happen – it often causes a site to be classified as social networking, which will get it blocked on many office systems. We have a whole lot of people who read the Dope at work.
