## Apparently Cecil forgot to give SBMB its lunch, so it ate the OP. Fortunately I kept a copy. Perhaps some kind mod would move this post up to the front? On the 30th anniversary of Watergate, it’s a good time to review the most terrible ongoing consequence of Nixon’s evil doings. It is the lazy practice of putting the suffix “gate” on the end of a word to name any new scandal. You are invited to submit your favorite. My submission: For the Lewinsky scandal, **What’s-a-nice-Jewish-girl-like-you-doing-in-a-place-like-this-gate.** ---

In 1964, there was the rioting and demonstrations at the Telegraph Ave. entrance to the University of California at Berkeley. Had we known what we know now, we could have called it “Sather Gate gate” instead of the Free Speech Movement. ---
