I will be 29 on Nov. 23rd. (My mom went into labor during Thanksgiving dinner, but I was born in the wee hours of the following morning). To celebrate, as I do every year, I will be hosting a party/game for all my friends entitled “Win {maxthevool}'s Money”, in which competitors compete in a variety of intellectual, dextrous, and physical challenges. The winners receive actual cash, plus the whole thing raises money for charity. It’s great fun, and (if I may say so) the highlight of the yearly social calendar for my group of friends. Last year it featured trivia, balderdash, Dance Dance Revolution, and a junkyard-wars-style competition to build a Jar-Jar launcher. This year will be the best ever, I hope 🙂 ---

Well, today was my birthday. And since I know all of you are just waiting to hear what I did, I’ll oblige. Hubby, Emmy and I went Chrsitmas shopping and then went to dinner. I got a birthday wake up phone call from Weirddave, too. I got all my presents from hubby last week (fondue set, DVDs and CDs) so I could use them during my Halloween/birthday vacation week I take every year. Wow. ---

Well, heck, **evilbeth** , you and me both. I went out to lunch at one of our two sushi places with a friend, then walked my dog down to the dog park (whereupon he played with numerous other dogs) and back, and then I had a salsa rueda class. Since then, I’ve been drinking beer, petting my dog, watching the Food Network, and surfing the SDMB. Not bad. Got over $400 in birthday money from relatives, too, which _definitely_ does not suck. As for celebrities who share my birthday, give your best wishes to: Will Rogers (dead, of course) Walter Cronkite Art Carney Loretta Swit (aka Margaret Houlihan on the TV version of M_A_S\*H). Well, let me do a little juggleing her to put **lel** right at the tip top of my SD Sweethearts list. Thank you so much for remembering. Uh, I suppose you had to have the present shipped, as it was too large to carry with you? (If you do a little searching, you MIGHT find a thread in which I actually contributed something meaningful to the discussion. Or perhaps not!) But alas, today I turn 42, and I have a cold, which makes me feel old. At least I have an excuse for napping at my desk! Glad to hear I share a natal day with the illustrious **Monty**.
