6.88 economic, -0.21 social. Sounds about right. I take issue with some of the questions, though. Is the writer/artist more important than the businessman? WTF? The definition of “important” is non-axiomatic; shifting with the circumstance and scenario. ---

Well, this is my 2nd half of 2005 score: Your political compass Economic Left/Right: 3.63 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.97 I’m generally somewhere barely right of center economically and between about -3 and -6 socially. ---

I’m definitely in quadrant I. I would’ve thought myself a moderate, but compared to the SDMB I’m somewhere to the right of the NRA. Only 4 or 5 were further up/right than me. Wow. ---

I came out more left/libertarian than I thought - but not overly surprised either -8.2 and -4.31. At least this puts my views in perspective - no wonder I’m always BAFFLED at how the population at large votes. I’m on the FRINGE!!! I have a new found sense of being liberated!! or is it libertarianated??? I clearly need to switch from democrat to green. ---

I took the test just now, and got a result of (-7.13, -6.46), but I don’t consider myself a Socialist. Then again, I am a Bay Area native, and I know some hardcore Socialists who live in (where else?) Berkeley. I took the test when the Political Compass first rolled around here and scored something like (-7, -5.5), but I don’t remember exactly. I generally vote Democratic, at least for national offices, because even though I take issue with some of their stances, they’re also ususally the only ones who have a chance against the Republicans. I can’t see voting for any Republican in the forseeable future. ---
