**Straight Doper…** there’s a place you can go! … what? The name ‘Straight Dope’ is definitely ambiguous in both of its two words. That’s actually kind of impressive: Unless you know the specific piece of slang already, the name is almost certainly 0 for 2 when it comes to telling you what this place is about. Also, the most common typo for SDMB makes this place look a lot more interesting than it usually is. ---
