I’m a flaming heterosexual. I love women. Short, tall, ugly, beautiful, smart, not so smart. You name it and I’ve had sex with it. Except for annoying. Throw that one in and I could imagine myself going gay; at least for the sake of this discussion.

It’s very close to the “I’d rather die” but not quite so I picked the guy.
In the spirit of the OP I’ll say that while I don’t find the thought of homosexuality in general (i.e. for other people) disgusting, it has absolutely no appeal to me whatsoever. I’m not narrow, just in the “naturally 100% straight” category.

The first sentence is fairly close to how I feel.
If I had to in order to save my (or someone else’s life), yeah, I’d have sex with a guy—or with a horse, or with an apple pie, or with just about anything else that didn’t have sharp, spring-loaded steel jaws. But the reason I normally don’t even consider having sex with men isn’t that I don’t find them sexy _enough_; it’s that I don’t find them sexy, period.
I wouldn’t agree with the last part of what **Dio** said, though. I can kinda see what a heterosexual female or homosexual male sees in an attractive dude—just as I can kinda understand what another horse sees in an attractive horse. It’s not the dude’s fault that I’m not attracted to him; it’s that my brain isn’t wired that way.

True enough, it’s a common staple of porn films for two women to be sexing each other up, but the moment a guy happens by, they’re all over him.
However, I do not recall seeing a lot of threads on the Dope along the lines of: “Lesbians, would you sleep with a guy if …?”

I’ve actually felt a little bad for _not_ being able to feel the slightest attraction to a man who had some interest in me. And while I may not have a _very_ good sense of what gay men are into, it’s pretty clear the guy in question wouldn’t have been repulsive to most. I liked him very much in every other way but the sexy. Ironically the same guy was for a time the person of interest for a woman who _I_ thought was unbearably hot. :smack: It didn’t work out for any of us.

But us straight men are even-handed about this. We also believe that every straight woman is secretly willing to have sex with another woman in the right circumstances.

Having sex to save your life, as in this hypothetical, isn’t exactly consensual sex. At least not as it’s normally understood.
If you’re prepared to have truly consensual sex with someone of your own gendr, you’re not straight. Which is why I didn’t vote in the poll.

Not having a penis I could be totally off base here, but I think it may be a bit different for females. Having someone enter into you is a very personal thing, and I would much rather that happen with a person I liked rather than someone I didn’t. It might also be a bit different seeing that in a female to female pairing it would be a toy used, and not a body part. I have toys, that’s a familiar thing.
The idea of me going down on a girl is not something I can see myself doing, but I wouldn’t be repulsed if the roles were reversed.

The way I read the OP, the scenario is requiring straight men who pick the guy to be anally penetrated by him. I’m neither straight nor a man, but I imagine that a lot of straight men have never been anally penetrated by anyone. For these men then being the receptive partner in anal sex with another man would be a totally unfamiliar experience in all ways.
Most straight women have experienced vaginal penetration, and many have used toys either alone or with a partner, so the basic physical act would be familiar even if having a female partner would be totally new. So it’s not really a fair comparison between men and women here. If the poll were about oral sex instead then that might get different results.
