# Straight people - which is worse?

The idea is to get people who think of themselves as straight to consider whether or not they might have bi tendencies. In terms of the Kinsey scale, it’s seeing whether people who think they’re a 0 might actually be a 1 or 2, provided they gave the question some honest thought. (They’d probably know if they were 3 or higher.)
It’s not a loaded question, nor is it all that odd or stupid.

If all the people voting as a straight woman are actually straight, and women. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if a public poll had different numbers.

Neither choice is attractive. My bi-curious days are way behind me (I figured out pretty quickly that I don’t really like other guys that way) so I’m really, really unlikely to want to bang some dude, no matter how cool he is. I wouldn’t fuck someone I don’t like, so there’s no way I’d sleep with a woman who is annoying, much less someone who is unattractive to me. Hell, I’ve had at least a couple of chances to sleep with pretty women who were annoying or bitchy and didn’t do it because of their personalities. No way am I going to stick my dick in an annoying AND ugly one.
I’d rather whack it.

If I claimed that no gay person is really 100% gay - that all gay people would be willing to have straight sex under the right circumstances - I would at best be justifiably accused of not understanding the reality of being gay.
So why assume that the opposite isn’t true? That some people really are 100% heterosexual? And some people really are 100% gay?

Straight guy here. There’s really no situation where I’d want to sleep with a guy. Unless the girl, no matter how terrible, is something like HIV positive, I’ve got not interest whatsoever in getting intimate with another man.

If the choice were between heterosexual sex and _death_ then I imagine that the vast majority of gay people would choose the former, no matter how distasteful it seemed.

I think some are, but most aren’t 100% either way. I believe most gay people have had sex with the opposite sex before. It doesn’t make them straight. But it probably doesn’t make them 100% gay either.
There is a lot of gray area in sexuality, obviously.

No, I think there’s a lot of self-projecting in sexuality. People can’t imagine that other people don’t feel the same way they do.

The post I was responding to said “under the right circumstances” though, not “under the circumstances given by the OP.” If the threat of death would do the job then that’s the right (or wrong, depending on how you look at it!) circumstances.
