# Strange bug

I can post messages but I can’t edit them. Why?

'Cause normal members can’t edit posts. Only mods and admins can.

It isn’t a bug - it’s meant to be that way.

The mods and admins can edit posts, for obvious reasons, but otherwise posts stand as written. If that wasn’t the case, we’d have a lot of people revising their original statements when popular opinion was running against them, and our server would be overloaded by the anally-retentive among us editing our posts to correct every typo or to insert a “better” phrase which just occured to us.

The mods will edit your post for you to fix coding or to remove offensive statements if you email them.
