Strange Habits

When I take a newspaper from a vending machine, it always has to be the third one down.

When I hear running water… mostly when I’m filling containers I repeatedly count down from ten to zero and can only stop filling at zero.

When I’m picking up cards at pinochle, I bang the edge of each card on the table before I look at it and put it in my hand.

I can’t leave my apartment until I’m wearing my class ring, my engagement ring, my watch, and my necklace. I think I could leave without PANTS before I could leave without my rings.

And oddly enough, my pinky doesn’t seem to participate with the rest of my fingers either. If I wave in the flapping fingers up and down way, my pinky won’t move. If I’m holding a glass, my pinky sticks out. I’ve always thought it was just me. Yay that it isn’t!

I can’t wear turtlenecks. Having anything up against my neck bugs me. Ditto for choker style necklaces.

When I eat a sandwich, I nibble the crust off first, then eat the sandwich.

I always have to read a bit before I got to sleep. It doesn’t matter how tired I am, I have to read some of my book before I turn off the light. Related to that, I always have to have a book to read. While I’m reading one I plan on what to read next. I don’t feel right without a book to read.

I do have a big hat, but it’s really not cathedral-shaped. Okay, maybe a little. But still.
