No, it never occurred to me that they were calling the energy creatures “star clusters”, which comes out of nowhere and makes no sense. I thought they thought they were held in the gravity of the black hole because of nearby star clusters. Which seemed possible for me because they got black hole physics very, very, very wrong in every other possible way. ---

Star Trek doesn’t have a very good history with physics and black holes. In an early episode of Voyager they managed to escape from a black hole by going through the hole they made in the event horizon when they entered. ---

I re-signed up for Paramount+ at $0.99/mo for two months to watch this season, and let me tell you, it was worth every penny! Yes, that IS damning with faint praise. I like the characters (except for the doctor, who I have to turn on captions to understand), and I really like the actors. But this season was not my cuppa tea at all.
