# Strange phone number on call

Now and then I get a call from a number like V1234567890123456 Starts with a V and the number is too long. I assume this is spam. Anyone know what this is?

[There’s a discussion here](https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Using-Your-Service/Getting-weird-calls-from-quot-V-quot-phone-numbers-What-is-going/td-p/296822). Looks like it’s an electronic dialer.

It’s a spammer. There is a system being deployed to block invalid Caller ID strings, I have no idea why it is taking so long.

I got those a lot. I ignore them all.

If anyone really wants me, they’ll leave a message, and the messages from those numbers are always spam.
