I don’t know why I’m not entitled to my opinion. Look on youtube for Chris Rock’s jokes about community college. I’m not the only one who sees them in a negative light. No one grows up to say “I wanna go to community college!” It’s where you end up. If you like going to community college, fine. Why are so many people making excuses, though? Every excuse you make can be shut down. I don’t view it as real school and never will. I’m entitled to my opinion. People can dislike me. I wouldn’t want to be your friend if you want to a community college anyway. Just as there are people on here who irrationally don’t want friends with tattoos. Or friends who are religious. ---

**trubie** you are obviously a very miserable person. i can’t think of any other explanation for your sneering, condescending, judgmental attitude towards people who are getting an education that doesn’t meet up to your woefully narrow-minded criteria. i feel sorry for you. ---

I’m glad that I’m friends with **Drain Bead** and not you. I admitted to an irrational prejudice against religious people in this thread. But it IS irrational - if you attacked it, I wouldn’t be able to defend it and I know that. Give it up and stop digging. ---

I took classes at my local community college that ended up being much much harder than some of the upper level classes I took at my private 4 year university. I am irrationally prejudiced against people who complain about the 10 items or less sign. I am irrationally prejudiced against people who don’t sing in the shower. I am irrationally prejudiced against white girls with dreadlocks. I am irrationally prejudiced against people who spell theater theatre. I am irrationally prejudiced against people from Kansas and Nebraska. I am irrationally prejudiced against peas. ---

In this college town, it is automatically presumed that all residents masturbate daily while thinking about football. So I am prejudiced against people who decorate themselves or their car or their home with the local team’s colors or logo. We know you love the Gators! Everyone does! You are just like every other person here, only more so. Also, anyone who says, “Go Gators!” automatically loses fifty points from their IQ in my estimation. Those words in that order carry absolutely no meaning. So why did you say them? ---

I refuse to read fantasy novels written by female authors (with the exception of LeGuin’s first three Earthsea books, obviously). Science fiction, no problem. But not fantasy. ---

I have prejudice against people who obsess over sports outside of those sports’ seasons. Nothing wrong with being into football during football season, baseball during baseball season, etc. But the people who are captivated by the NFL combine, baseball spring training, etc, well, I think these people are taking it too far. I don’t _hate_ them or anything, or think they’re less intelligent, but I feel as though they are a little too obsessed. ---

I am occasionally guilty of this, because I have a British friend I chat with online a lot, and sometimes I find Britishisms sneaking into my speech. People who play golf. I’ll make allowances for old guys who play golf, just to get out of the house and do something. Or executive types who play golf for business purposes. But I see a few douchebag young yuppie husbands around here who, every weekend in the summer, dress up in color coordinated Ralph Lauren golf costumes and load their shit into their PT Cruisers, “off to the links”. They’re middle-management insurance company drones, and they think they’re Lance Blueblood III, off for a quick round and then martinis at The Club afterwards. It’s the pretension that gets me. The all-dressed-up woman who stopped into a dingy, smelly, grandpa saloon, cracked leather seats, cheap beer in dirty glasses, clientele who’ve been there since it opened in the morning, and demanded the bartender mix her up an exotic tropical cocktail, with garnish and little umbrella. He had to rummage around and find a recipe book in order to whip up a reasonable facsimile. (I was in there at the time, with my grandpa, who was also the bartender!) Half the fun of a pina colada is the atmosphere, IMO.
