Actually, I am irrationally prejudiced against nearly everyone, for a variety of reasons, but I make exceptions. ---

FWIW, Pepsi used to be advertised as something to bring out of the backroom. I remember seeing some commercials that encouraged serving it to company. ([Snopes touches on it a bit here](http://www.snopes.com/business/misxlate/ancestor.asp)). [ol] [li]Folks who don’t know the difference between your/you’re, lose/loose, and they’re/their/there.[/li][li]Wearing a tank top/sleeveless shirt on a guy is only showing off.[/li][li]Religious/alternative medicine folks I can’t trust them to do anything on their own.[/li][li]Sunglasses make you cool (this, I guess, is a positive prejudice, unless the sunglasses are at night or indoors)[/li][li]People with a southern accent I assume I have to change my language to easier words for them to understand. I even had a friend in college who was smarter than I, that I had a hard time overcoming the prejudice.[/li][li]People who are vehement against swearing. That their shit don’t stink.[/li][/ol] ---

On the other hand, sunglasses when it’s dark = trying to hide something. 🙂 Swearing, on the other hand… if you’re one of those people who can’t get one sentence out without fuckin’ putting fuckin’ swearwords all the fuckin’ way through, I internally roll my eyes and think, “Uncreative! Can’t even use the full power of the language!”. ---

This one’s related to the community college thing…I have a prejudice against anyone who attends a non-state school without a scholarship, unless it’s an Ivy. I just don’t think there’s a good return on investment for those cute little liberal arts schools with the nice foliage and the $45,000 a year tuition bill. If it’s getting paid for by scholarship, that’s great, but if you’re footing the bill, you might as well just flush $30,000 down the toilet every year. ---

At the school I went to (cute little liberal arts school with nice foliage) I remember one of my friends once casually revealed that he didn’t receive any financial aid, and it stopped the conversation cold. “You mean… none? No scholarships? Grants? Come on, you have at least one grant, right?” No. He was paying full dollar to go there. (Well, his parents were.) It kind of blew my mind. I mean, I know there are rich people out there who can afford to drop $26k/year out of pocket for their kid’s schooling. I just didn’t think I actually _knew_ any of those people. Nice guy, though. ---

When I see people who try to completely shelter children from the real world, I think they are unfair parents. I will happily have a beer or two when out with my 11 year old for dinner. If we have people round for a BBQ and he is there, I will often drink significantly more because I am not driving. But a parent who enjoys a drink but won’t have one if his child is there - doing the child harm, in my eyes. But that’s not really an irrational prejudice. I must have some… People who don’t like sports don’t bother me, but people who sit there in a sports bar telling me they don’t like sports do. Not sure that is irrational. I do tend, completely irrationally, to look askance people who don’t drink at all, even including those who do it for religious reasons or recovering alcoholics. And, completely unfairly given that, and given my past life, if someone takes illegal drugs it knocks them down a little in my eyes - I guess because coke makes people unpleasant to be around, and weed has so little effect on me that it seems pointless to break a law to smoke it. Pot smokers my age (42) seem just trying too hard. People who are overly keen on jam bands are difficult for me to respect either. And I actually quite like the music when I hear it, so I don’t know why this is. (Sorry, Evan, I love you long time really). ---

I am prejudiced against people who get obsessed with their infertility even though I’ve been through it myself. I ended up with one baby but couldn’t do it again and it turned out for the best for me so I think that it’ll be for the best for everyone. Meanwhile, what do I know? ---

Most of my prejudices that that are not strange have already been said in this thread, so I’ll just list those that are. I also vehemently disagree with a lot of the prejudices in this thread, but that’s neither here nor there. 1. Women in large vehicles can not handle them. (This is usually true in my experience, but I still think it’s a strange prejudice on my part) 2. People who assume everyone else has/uses whatever the most popular [insert generic anything here] are pretentious. For example, people who assume everybody has an IThing and a Smart Phone or that everybody uses Google for all their worldly needs or that everybody uses Firefox. (I saw an example of the latter earlier in the thread. Not everybody gets a red squiggle when they misspell a word). 3. There is little worse than a person who is overly political. I’ll never understand it. Place your vote, state your opinion, but stop at that. Don’t try to change my opinion or tell me that it is wrong. These people are as bad as the religious people who are constantly trying to convert everyone. (This coming from a religious person) 4. People who claim to not be racist in any way, shape, or form are either liars or deluding themselves. 5. People who live in cities need watching. All of them. If I visit a city I don’t trust anyone around me who didn’t come with me. ---

There are plenty of high quality schools that aren’t Ivies, some that are even ranked higher than some of the Ivies. ---

No version of IE or Opera I have ever used had a spell checker. Never used Safari or Chrome before other than for testing rendering of sites at work, so I will bow to your experience on those. ---

Hoop earrings = trashy. Always. Bad hygiene/sloppy dressing = stupid. My mom was raised in Brooklyn, NY. Her irrational prejudice (handed down to me): Ankle bracelets = whore!!! It’s so dumb it kind of makes me giggle just thinking about it. But I do think they are soo slutty. ---
