Inspired by a session in the barber’s chair today. Apologies if this has been done to death before. For some reason that baffles me, I find these things intensely pleasurable: 1. The feel of the barber’s electric razor against the back of my neck 2. The way the barber always folds the tops of my ears down to snip away at the hair above them. Outside of haircutting, and I’m not sure I should even mention this, sometimes a little strip of skin will come loose alongside the fingernail on my index finger, exposing a little raw patch. Despite the fact that it hurts, I’ll rub another finger over this area again and again until the strip pulls away. This usually takes the better part of a day. Yeah, I know, I’m pretty weird. Anyone else? ---

Regarding the barbershop deal – are the back of the neck and the top of the ear on the erogenous zones list? Might be a nerve-ending thing happening there. As for the strip of skin – I was brought up hearing it called a “Step-mother’s blessing”. Mainly because step-mothers are, in legend, nasty people, and that strip certainly ain’t a blessing. Pull/rub at it? Egad, man! I snip it, then cover the wound with an ouch from my lips! Sir, you have gumption! ---

Haircuts do feel good, and I especially love a barber shop that puts hot foam on the back of your neck and shaves your neck with a straight-razor. Real old-fashioned, gotta love it. My neck isn’t an erogenous zone, either. But come to think of it, I kinda like having my hair pulled a little during… nah, never mind. 😃 ---

I love the sensations of getting a hair cut. Don’t know if it’s erogenous or not, but the razor against the neck and snipping just above the ears feel pretty good to me. I like having my hair messed with. I just got a long overdue one yesterday. As for other strange pleasurable sensations, a Q-tip in the ear when cleaning them out. I’ve heard that it isn’t that uncommon to like this sensation. ---

I get a haircut once a year when it gets long enough to get tangled up in stuff. My SO cuts it and I love the way she pushes,pulls,and orders me around while she’s doing it. She’s Jewish,I’m German. Yes,a German masochist; I’m so ashamed! ---

Ten to twenty minutes after every shower, there’s always at least one ear where a small drop of water will start moving down along the inside of my ear (really deep, past the Q-Tip-Zone). Feels really good in a creepy way – the little hairs in that area rarely have anything exciting happen to them. ---

There’s a French film from a few years back called “The Hairdresser’s Husband”, and which unfortunately I haven’t actually seen, that deals with this theme. I will say that one time recently, I got a shampoo just prior to my haircut that was one of the most unexpectedly, er, stimulating experiences I’ve had in recent years. ---

This thread made me remember my former business partner’s habit. We had a file cabinet on top of which we kept a telephone directory. It was at the right heighth for her to stand in front of it and blow into the pages, so they fluttered about and tickled her lips. I seem to recall sort of vaguely enjoying watching her do that. ---

On the haircut theme. I hate getting a haircut. Hmmm… I take that back. I hate waiting for a haircut. The haircut itself I don’t mind. I mind it even less if the barber is an attractive woman who runs her fingers through my hair. Speaks softly to me. Leans against me she works… Yes, I can see the haircut thing. 🙂 ---

Stangely pleasurable sensations? Very hot water on itchy skin. Last summer I had a case of poison ivy all over both arms. The itching was driving me insane. I tried a suggestion I saw on the poison ivy web net or somesuch. You run hot water over the area, and gradually ramp up the temperature until it’s so hot you can barely stand it. (A hand-held shower massage head makes it easier). It takes about 5 minutes. Each time you increase the heat, you feel an almost orgasmic sense of relief; it’s very strange. The itching will go away for several hours. Something to do with histamines. It’s probably not recommended and dangerous in some way, and I have since found a better remedy for poison ivy (Zanfel), but boy, what freaky pleasure. ---
