My first thought was that similar. Someone’s gonna get a copy of the picture and be told “This is how I was saying you should cut your hair!”
I say No to the candid photographer practising his skills. No good photographer would take a portrait from a moving car and expect it to be anything but crap.
That’s why you should always carry a gun.
Heh. I’ve been known to be a drive-by photo-taker. I’m not aiming at people, though, I’m often aiming at a building, or something behind them.
Around Christmas, there was a shop in the U District that had a great light display. I had my camera with me, and as we pulled up to the intersection, the building was right beside us, but on my husband’s side. I asked Mr. Stasaeon to roll his window down so I could quickly get a shot. Thing is, it was nighttime, so to get a good shot of it, I had to turn my flash on. I had it lined up perfectly…
Then some guy in the parking lot of the store I wanted to take a picture of gets in his truck, starts it up, and his headlights come on just in time to see my husband’s window roll down, a camera flash, and since our light turned green, we immediately pulled away, as my husband rolled up his window. This made me laugh my ass off.
I’ve often wondered what the poor fellow must have thought. Karma caught up to me for laughing though: upon perusal of that night’s pictures, I discovered his headlights totally blew my shot.
Ok, I admit it - it was me. I did it. 'Cause you’re hot and Canadian, and I just love hot Canadian chicks.
And there was that talk of chocolate orgasms in that other thread…
I’m a multiple offender. Maybe they’ve just begun collecting info on me so they can report me to the Fashion FBI, who’ll at some point burst through my windows and raid the closet.
I certainly make no claims as to being a photographer, but that’s not necessarily true. Mere luck, sure, but if I can get a shot like that while driving, I see no reason to stop.
Well, I mean, I do see reason to not take pictures while driving, but not specifically photography-wise.
