John Denver begging “Please Daddy Don’t Get Drunk this Christmas” is right up there on the spectrum of odd. For no good reason, I’ve had “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer” stuck in my head for several days. That’s bad enough, but then my subconscious starts substituting the lyrics to David Allen Coe’s Perfect Country Western Song. That’s a weird place to be… ---
