I just received a call from someone named Mike who played guitar and sang a song about remembering to vote tomorrow and send Bush back to Texas…“paid for by the Bush Retirement Committee” Oh my, and as I’m typing this, Hal Linden called and is talking to me about Social Security, and please vote for John Kerry so that SS will be protected. At least Mike didn’t block his phone number like Hal did. Any bets on how many more calls I’ll get tonight? Hal’s call was #9 for the day. ---

You know, I got a bunch of political calls today from the following people: [list=1] [li]Elizabeth Edwards[/li] [li]John Kerry[/li] [li]Jesse Jackson[/li] [li]Bill Clinton, and[/li] [li]Chris Rock. [/li] Chris Rock’s was pretty funny. It started out, “If you’re planning on not voting tomorrow, I’ve got 3 words for you–You. Are. Crazy. I mean, come on–your ancestors got bitten my German shepherds and beaten with big sticks to get you the right to vote.” I’m kind of sorry now that I erased it from my voicemail. ---

Ah, **Kittenblue.** I feel so neglected. No, none of them serenaded me. Most of them were earnest, straight-ahead pleas to vote Democratic. Chris Rock was the only one to give me several seconds of politically charged stand-up comedy, along with the phone number 1-866-OUR-VOTE. I’m supposed to call them if anyone tries to stop me from voting. ---

I got a confusing one the other day: “Every politician talks about negative campaigning, but Joe Blow has _crossed the line_…”[I hang up]…umm, arent you engaging in negative campaigning now? 😕😕
