They’re called Song Poems. The [American Song Poems Music Archive](http://www.aspma.com/) has a page which has all of the lyrics of [“Peace and Love”](http://www.aspma.com/trubee.htm) as well as the history of the song. Their lyrics are slightly different than what you quoted.

John Cale’s _The Jeweller_ is pretty weird. So is [this](http://www.webgods.net/stiv.html) song by Stiv Bators.

_Death Rape 2000_ by Wiseblood is pretty weird. The same three notes repeated over and over again.

Quite true. I owned a copy of it back in the early 70’s. IIRC, I got it for 50 cents from the bargain bin at a (now defunct) downscale dept. store called McRory’s. I also bought a copy of Leonard Nimoy’s album that had “The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins” on it from the same place.
